Sold item went to a wrong Adress
I'm having a tough time with getting a sold item resolved.
A buyer recently contacted me that she didn't receive her purchase (valuable Christmas ornament). The first thing I did was go to my receipts from the post office to double check that I did in fact mail the package.
After further review of the receipts, I came to the conclusion that the post office employee scanned my QR code twice (I know, RIGHT?!) The package intended for the correct buyer went to another buyer and I have yet to get any response from the person who got an item for free.
I went to the post office with my receipts, and they couldn't believe that this in fact happened. Long story short, they were of no help.
The buyer of the item is so kindly patient. Filed a claim, I'm going through these steps. Requesting to wait for the ornament without a refund.
- - So, Ebay Help, to me is very hard to navigate and very hard to find the correct "help" for. I decided to report the buyer who received the wrong package that won't answer my messages.
My question is...how do I tell Ebay Help that the post office scanned the QR code twice and the person won't answer? All I want is for Ebay to message the person and say...hey mail it back, here's a label. The Ebay Help had no other options when I reported the person.
*my bad for not noticing the QR code was scanned twice.

There is no way for eBay to make the member that received the "free" ornament respond to messages or send the item back. Have you offered to send them a return shipping label to return the ornament?
You can buy a return label on Pirateship.com at the same discounted rate as eBay then send it as a JPG
( not PDF) in eBay messages. If the member doesn't use the label then Pirateship will refund you for it after 30 days.
Maybe seeing a shipping label will jog them into action. I do wish you luck!
If they don't send it back then you're going to have to refund the buyer and write the loss off on your taxes.
