I sold item as/is for parts or repair only,yet ebay sidded with the buyer.This is messed up.I need to join the Ebay Sucks group on Facebook to see what problems others are having. SO DONT LIST AS-IS ITEMS,EBAY WILL SCREW U

Mentor1 year agoHi @cobra-7949 @gosimus is correct. eBay staff has confirmed that an item sold as Not Working and/or for Parts Only can be returned under the eBay Money Back Guarantee because it is Not As Described. The reasoning is that an item can be non-working differently than as described in the listing. Good luck!

Are you talking about the category-specific condition, or did you simply state it in the description. Will you post the item number? I'd like to take a look at the exact wording. eBay can be persnickety about the wording.
follow up ~ On reflection, I thought I remembered seeing other threads where eBay allowed a not as described return of an item that was listed as broken, for parts-only. I did find some threads, but I spent several minutes spinning my wheels trying to find that specified in the MBG and the eBay Policies. Couldn't find it.
