Software glitch: Bid prices are showing the minimum bid vs. current bid! How to contact live person?
My auction is showing that the current bid is 99 cents. The auction has been going for a few days, has 15 bids and has actually been bid up to $42.22. The same thing is going on with other auctions too. This will confuse bidders and could impact our sales. How do we contact a REAL person at eBay to let them know there's a software glitch?

OP11 months agoNo, look at the pictures above. When I click on bids it shows the high bid as $42.22 with the correct high bidder, but in the green banner above it says the current bid is 99 cents. It's not just my auction, either. It's affecting others or maybe all of them. I was able to get a live person in chat and report it. Told the customer service person to escalate the issue to management and IT, and he said he would. I suggested that eBay also message all users about the bug because it's confusing. Bidders might think their bids have been cancelled when they haven't.

Mentor11 months agoI looked at the listing and it does show different numbers depending on how you access the listing. You will need to report this to customer service so they can open a tech request on this.
You can contact customer service using this link to bypass the AI questions and ask for a call back: eBay Customer Service Customer service is open from 5am to 9pm Pacific Time.
