So frustrated right now.....
I saved an item I wanted VERY BADLY. The seller sent out a general 10% off email to 7 interested buyers. I made a COUNTER OFFER, which was ACCEPTED BY THE SELLER --- I received that email at 11:53 am. When I went to complete the purchase later, THE ITEM WAS GONE and had been SOLD FOR FULL PRICE at 4:11 pm that same day (yesterday).
I am extremely upset. The seller tells me that ebay did this and not him. He has 100% feedback right now and I am VERY ANGRY and about to leave a very negative comment.....UNLESS this is truly something that ebay would do without the seller even being aware???? This seller claims it was NOT HIM --- that ebay does this and his COUNTER OFFER is not final until payment is made. I thought there was a window of payment opportunity once an offer has been accepted.....he claims ebay can over-ride this for a full-priced sale.
Please confirm one way or the other.
