Sniping
I am constantly Loseing auctions to snip and frankly I am **bleep**, the snip happens at 1 second and somehow goes just over my bid I had a higher bidding auto biding, and it was just over that how the f does that work

I wanted to point out that the reason a sniper’s winning bid is always ‘just over’ your max bid is that winners only win by a single ‘bid increment’ … regardless of the actual amount of their bid … because of the rules of bidding.
Snipers typically bid much higher than shown … since they know they will not have another opportunity to bid on that auction.

It's not the last bid that wins, it's the high bid that wins. Instead of nibble bidding, bid only once and bid the most you are willing to pay. eBay will keep you in the lead unless or until someone outbids you (in which case they were willing to pay more than you thought the item was worth).

ditto what inceptions said, and . . . When you do place that one bid, place it as near the end of the auction as you can manage, to minimize the time that others will have to peck at it.

OP10 months agoThat was exactly what I did and they still won the bid. I was not nibling in fact was 5 dollars higher the second prior to the bid ending. And to repeat that was 6 minutes after closing, that the loss was then recorded

Nibbling means making multiple bids to try to bid higher than the current high bid. It doesn't refer to the bid amount. You were nibble bidding twice in the last 6 minutes of the auction.
As stated, the winner won the item because he placed the high bid before you did. Please re-read the link I provided so you understand how automatic bidding works.
Bid ONCE , bid as late in the auction as convenient, and bid the most you are willing to pay and not a penny less. That's how you win more auctions. Hope that helps!
