Smelling like a scam?
A great item at true auction yet the seller has zero prior sales? How willing are you to bid? Fork over the money and cross your fingers or put away your 10 foot pole?

Mentor3 years agoEvery seller starts with zero sales; that is not necessarily a sign that a seller is a scammer.
That having been said, there are many valid reasons to avoid purchasing from a seller with no track record, even if the seller is entirely honest. New sellers may require additional time or hand-holding to get through a transaction. New sellers may not understand how payment holds work, and may delay shipping unnecessarily. New sellers may not know how to obtain packing materials, to pack correctly or to get items shipped. New sellers may intend to obtain inventory or drop-ship from an untrustworthy supplier or even from a scammer.
You can learn a lot about a seller by reading feedback comments for past transactions. If the seller has no feedback for past transactions, you have little or no information to form any kind of opinion.
