eBay thrives on activity, so try to do something every day.
- List every day if you can. - Tweak listings when you can't list a new item (update the title, change photos, check category) - Get a Store and run Markdown sales and offer Public coupons. - Follow policies, like accepting returns. When you do, your listings seem to go up in search.
✓ Run the Listings Quality Report which is found here: https://www.ebay.com/sh/performance Do some of the suggested actions. Run it again in 2 days.
TIP: I cannot emphasize how important Category is now. eBay defaults searches to the category it thinks your item belongs in. If your item is in another category, it will not be found.
-- Look at the titles/photos/pricing from similar items that have sold. Do a search, and then filter for SOLD. You will find the Sold filter on the left-hand side of the desktop view, or under "filters" for mobile view. Is your price competitive with other eBay listings? Is your item in the SAME category?
Here are more tips to make a good listing that will sell faster:
-- Make sure your first photo, in particular, is sharp, clear, and preferably has a white background.
-- Use 12-24 photos. Show the top, bottom, sides, labels, features, and flaws. Take your own photos.
-- Make sure your title uses as many characters as possible, and that the first 4-5 words are the most important. Use good Key words. Don't use useless works like WOW or L@@K
-- Accurately describe your items – include measurements. Describe any flaws or defects.
-- Make sure your item is in the correct or best category
-- Complete the "Item Specifics" that are logical, skip the ones that don’t apply.
TIP: From my own personal experience: After I have made a great listing, I share it on Pinterest, X and BlueSky. It helps get more eyes on the listing.
