single Item sold! then same item relisted by Ebay glitch in system. Anyone?

Sold one of a kind item only to find it has relisted later by unknown glitch. it's happened for years and I would like to know how it goes from sold to relisted when it's already sold and been shipped. Not all items but a few spattered out over months. Anyone have a clue to whats going on. Not a newbie here, 25 years on eBay.

Most likely, you are bulk-ending and relisting items and accidentally catching an ended listing in that process.

However:

You should report this to eBay, as they have been trying to track this down for a long time but need data to do so.

Note down the Item ID of the ghost listing.

If different, also record the Item ID of the original listing.

Utilize the feedback form located within the “Advanced Listing Tool” (pictured below), and include the following information:

1) Both Item IDs as mentioned earlier.

2) Include the phrase “ghost listing” in your feedback to help identify the issue to the right team.

3) Provide as much detail as possible about the listing and timeline to aid the investigation.
