Signature Required Upon Delivery
I an lisitng a designer purse with a list price of $1795. I understand that for sales over $750, eBay reuires a signature for delivery. How do I select and purchase shipping that insures an item for that value and requires a signature? I only see calculated, flat rate or free shipping as options.
Thank you,
Karen

Mentor9 months ago@ferncliff-39. You don't select those options when listing. Many sellers either add a handling fee or add the cost to the item price for the insurance and signature on delivery fee.
If you don't see the option to purchase extra insurance and the signature on delivery option on the label page then select switch to advanced on the upper right

OP9 months agoI assume that I pay the additional cost for the insurance and signature and the buyer pays just the calcualted rate based on location and package weight and size only. Is that correct?

There is a Handling fee line on the listing tool - add any insurance/sig conf fees there and it will be included in the Shipping cost the buyer sees - they don't see a breakdown, only the total$.
Or...you can build it into the Item cost instead, some buyers balk when they see a high shipping fee, not realizing it includes insurance, etc.

Those options are on the shipping label page when you are ready to purchase the label.
