Should I still do the return shipping if seller said to not bother but eBay says to drop it off?
Hi,
I had already printed a return label when the seller message me to not bother returning the item. They refunded the amount (I see the refund gift card in my payments section) and closed the item. But later, eBay sent me a reminder to ship the item in order to receive the refund.
Should I still return the item?
I don't want for the seller to pay for return shipping if they don't want it back (it doesn't work). But will eBay revoke the refund if I don't drop off to USPS by their due date?
Thanks.

OP10 months agoThanks for the answer! (Sorry for the late reply; I thought eBay would e-mail me a notification when a reply was made.)

·10 months agoIf you’ve been refunded, there is no need to return the item, and eBay will not reclaim the refund from you (that isn’t something they can do). You’re right to think that saving the seller the cost of return shipping is a good thing, and they won’t be charged for a return shipping label unless it is actually used. The messages from eBay are automated and don’t always adjust once a return case is closed due to a refund.
