Should I close dispute?
 
UPS said they delivered package but they didn’t. My request to seller is as follows in picture. My question is should I take their response seriously or is this ill advised and bad practice. New to this situation.

Ask eBay to step in and help on the 4th business day if the seller has not provided a full refund.

I am sorry that happened!
Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.
You can't open another case if you close it.
1) Call UPS to see if the tracking number label contained your name and your address.
a) If your name and correct address were on the label, ask UPS to review the GPS on the delivery, retrieve the item from the wrong house, and deliver it to you.
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the UPS if they will put this in writing; it's helpful, but not required. (They won't tell you whose name *is* on the package, only that your name and address *is not*.) Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps starting with 2 below:

The proof of delivery may have more details about the delivery site, and the weight. Screenshot that.
Let me know what you find out in Step 1 above so I can provide you the best next steps.

OP6 months agoThank you for the response, I will try to get in touch with ups. I did see on the tracking that it was at our local dispatch and delivered to my town but it doesn’t show the address on the tracking. I did reach out to the seller again multiple times and every time I received the exact same message. I guess I will wait till eBay can intervene and figure this out.

OP6 months agoI tifed getting information from ups, they could only tell me it was delivered and left at my front door. Nothing more. I asked eBay to step in and they immediately closed the case because of tracking provided. Do I have any recourse or am I just out $100?

Did UPS confirm it was your address on the label?
Or did they say it was 'delivered at a front door'
They can't tell you the address on the label. They can confirm if you give them your address whether your address was on the label.
What do you see here?
