"Shop more" payment option--can it be turned off?
I getting tired of people with winning bids on one of my auctions who get to not pay for their item for a week because they are "shopping more." Is this an option I can turn off? It's very annoying. I don't use such an option myself when I win an auction.

OP4 months agoThis was not a helpful answer. Despite navigating to the indicated page, I do not find the options that would allow me to change my combined shipping settings. They're simply not listed. I ended up changing the "requiring buyers to have a payment method lodged" instead, but I don't know if that will have the effect I want. Basically I strongly dislike the "Shop More" option, as it only delays payment by my buyer. I have a small inventory of modest value items, and this week long delay does me no good at all. When I buy something on eBay, I pay immediately or I don't buy at all. Frankly the excuse that it encourages buyers to shop further from me is a fantasy. It's never happened and I don't believe it ever would (my inventory is varied).

Buyers can choose to turn on the option when they enter their auto payment information before they bid. This option is available if the seller requires a payment method before bidding and has combined shipping set up.
If you do not want buyers to have the option you need to turn off one of the options, payment information or combined shipping. There is no way to turn it off and have both.
Here is the announcement about it.
