Shipping weights
I have been selling on here for a little while, mostly model kits and some toys and diecast models. I have had three or four plastic model kits go from 2 pounds to 15-25 pounds. How can eBay not see that and call BS instead of charging me money!?! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at the photos and the USPS weight change and say there's no way that weighs 22 pounds or 18 pounds!

The shipping carrier bills eBay and they pass the charge on to you. If you are using USPS then you have to appeal the additional charge directly with the USPS. eBay can only help with FedEx and UPS adjustments since they are the shipper of record.

If the package is more than 20 inches long, there is a surcharge, and another surcharge if over 30 inches. If the package is more than 1728 cubic inches, you will be charged dimensional weight instead of the actual weight of the package. Packages going to rural areas will also cost more to ship.
