Shipping weight of item to sell
When I prepare a listing to sell an item I enter the estimated weight of the item and the size of the package. When I print the shipping label, these numbers, weight of the item and size of package, are different than what I entered. Example: Crimping tools - I entered 8 lbs 12 oz. , the shipping label I printed says 1 lbs 0 oz. Why?

I would also recommend checking the listing itself to see if the problem is attached to the listing or the label screen. There was (and may still be) a problem with the data fields on the listing form, where the entered values were not stored because the page was still loading empty fields. It took two tries at adding the weight to get it to stick to the listing before posting the listing.

Mentor2 years agoYou need to enter the packaged weight and the dimensions of the box/package you will be using. 8 lbs 12 oz would equal a 9 lb package. Are you shipping this item using Ground Advantage or Priority? I suspect the 1 lb label is for a priority flat rate envelope, which you should have changed to either ground advantage or priority.
Go to
Seller Hub > Orders > Shipping labels
Locate the Order. Click the down-arrow. Select VOID label. You have 5 days from the date you printed the label in order to void the label. The USPS will credit your account in 2-3 weeks after they have confirmed the label was never used.
Now you can use the PRINT ANOTHER LABEL and this time change the dimensions of the package and/or weight as needed.
