shipping weight error
Hello all, I had an error on my listing for an item that was 6 lbs. and on the listing it said 6 oz. Really dumb error on my part I know and unfortunately someone purchased this item before I noticed the error. My question is can I explain to the buyer and cancel this order or am I obligated to fulfill the sale and eat the shipping costs? I can't find anything in the guidelines or message boards about this specific topic. If anyone has any guidance on this issue I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Mentor2 years agoYou are expected to complete the transaction. Still, no one can force you to ship. If you cancel, you must select 'out of stock or damaged' (the catchall for seller cancellations), and take a ding (defect) on your account.
As a top rated seller, you are only allowed .5% defects, so depending on your 12 month sales, it could hurt your status.
