Summary: stalou_28 is seeking advice after experiencing frustration with USPS regarding an undelivered package due to incorrect postage on a prepaid label. Despite being in contact with multiple post offices and personnel, the package has not been located. i shipped an item on aug 9. it scanned aug 10 as undeliveerable address but the issue was not enough shipping on the prepaid label. it was my first sale . i hadnt purchased on ebay in years and didnt realize that the return address was a place i lived nearly 10 years ago. buyer is being patient however im feeling frustrated with usps. i have been to 3 different post offices and contact daily but nobody has come across it. ive gotten as far as the district manager and have the personal cell of one of the clerks who keeps daily contact with driver. anyone had a package issue similar and is there any other suggestion to push forward to find this box? its expensive and my coworker didnt know to insure it past 100.00 any help is greatly appreciated!

1) change your return address now before you forget
Set up all your addresses here
-- “Registration address” your official address,
-- "Return Address" which prints on the label, and
-- “Ship From Address” which must have the zip/postal code for the post office you use (usually the same, but not always)

Change the address for return labels here, the next time you ship something.
There is a 'Edit' button on the lower right-hand side of the Print Shipping Label screen.
- If you don't see something like this to the right on the shipping screen, click the "Show additional shipping options" on the upper right, then look again.
Ship from
This Town OH 4xxxx-xxxx
Return to
Other City OH 4xxxx-xxxx
Click the 'Edit' underneath the addresses.
You'll be able to select the addresses you entered in to your account.
-- Return Address is what prints on the label
-- Ship From Zip prints at the very top of the label by the postage.
On the App,
Get Shipping Label
Click the > to the right of Order Details
Edit Ship From to enter the drop off zip code.
Add a separate Return To address if that applies.

2) Have you contacted the delivery person at your old address?
3) Have you filed a missing mail report? Step 2 here

4) Did you label the package as Hazmat? I assume it was a liquid or cream which required Hazmat labels
5) If the buyer put the wrong address, and it comes back as 'undeliverable' you likely won't have to refund. But it it shows 'postage due' or similar you'll need to refund the buyer soon.
