how do I use the USPS ground advantage shipping - print the label myself? go to post office? what are the restrictions? how do I know what to put in the shipping info when I create the sell listing so the buyer pays the correct shipping cost?

When you create a listig on eBay select the Calculated shipping method and then you add shipping methods further down in the shipping section. USPS Ground Advantage (G A) will be one of the choices. In July this year USPS dropped First Class shipping for packages, it's now called ground advantage. Print your labels through eBay to get their discount (the exception would be USSP Media Mail, no discount)

go to post office? Only to drop off your packages, make sure you stand in line and get the scan by the clerk, THAT is the Acceptance scan to avoid late shipping defects based on your Handling time. There may be times when you have to buy a label at the counter (like your printer goes on the fritz) ... you do not get a discount and you need to take the receipt back to manually load the tracking number on the Sold item in eBay.

how do I know what to put in the shipping info when I create the sell listing so the buyer pays the correct shipping cost? You need a scale and a tape measurer. You can place the item, an empty box, packing material, etc on the scale to get a weight. You can measure the box and make sure your item with packing material will fit in the box OR estimate the box size you need. The "Calculated" setting I mentioned above is the one where Buyers can see what it will cost THEM to pay YOU to ship the item. Then you print your label through eBay for a discount to offset your Fees, packaging materials, trip to the Post Office, etc.

When you list your item for sale, enter the weight and dimensions of the package as it will ship and select calculated shipping, then select ground advantage as your shipping service. eBay will charge the buyer based on their location and the info you enter.

When you sell an item, buy your label from eBay. Go to your list of sold items and select purchase label. If you have a printer, print or download the label to print. If you donâ€™t have a printer, check if your PO can print your label form a QR code, then select QR code instead of print label.

If you buy your label through eBay, you will pay about 20% less than if you buy the same service at your PO.

To check your PO for QR code support, see the QR code section here, and click find supported locations. I think just about all POs can do this now.
