SHIPPING using eBay standard envelope option when it is grayed out

I just want to use the eBay standard envelope option to ship one of my little items but when I went to print my shipping label, eBay did not give me the choice to use this option. That feature was grayed out and would have been considerably cheaper to use for shipping. My shipment fell within the confines of the eBay standard envelope rate rules. When I called eBay to inquire as to why I was not being allowed to use that feature, they could not tell me why but instead told me that the buyer had paid for a more expensive way to ship their item, although that method was not any faster or better than the eBay standard envelope method. Why am I being required to ship items the more expensive way when there are other options that are just as good available to me?

@fruitcakekitties . I see several issues The last sold item had ground advantage on the listing. You must always ship using the shipping method stated on the listing. The mermaid pendant would be smashed going through the sorting equipment. Most importantly eBay Standard Envelope is only for select categories for items $20 and under. The envelope must be thin like a letter and flexible enough to bend around a standard coffee mug.
