Shipping used lithium battery with USPS
I've looked at numerous posts and documents from eBay and the Post Office but there's still some confusion around how to ship a relatively small electronic device with a lithium battery e.g. compact camera.
I will enclose the battery in a waterproof bag and shield it from being compressed. I will mark the package with "Restricted Electronic Device" and "Surface Transportation Only" but I've also noticed several different pre-printed red and white warning labels. Are any/all of these necessary in addition to the above markings (not so easy if box is small)? If so, which do I use and where can I download an image for printing?
Thanks.

OP3 years agoI did the above, minus the warning labels, and when I handed the package to a USPS employee he thought it was sufficient. But if anyone has anything to add re. the red and white labels, I am still interested.
