Shipping too high when listing

During listing the shipping is calculating too high: 3 oz package 10 x 8 x 2 is calculating at $7-$9! Does anyone know what to do?

Yes, US Postal Service postage is expensive. Shipping costs for FedEx and UPS are expensive.

Are you using eBay's reduced postage rates?

If the answer is yes, you are paying less for postage that you buy through eBay than the rates you would pay if you bought postage at your local post office.

Also -- be sure you are entering accurate package weights and size measurements.

That price is for USPS ground advantage. What shipping method are you selecting?

Are you charging buyers the commercial base rate OR the retail rate? If retail rate then that sounds about right. You can choose if you wish to pass on your discount or not in account settings>
