Shipping to Puerto Rico: why is eBay terrible at handling their addresses?
On several occasions, I have tried to ship to PR, but eBay will not permit buying a shipping label because the address may not fit the exact form typical in mainland USA (not uncommon in PR at all for a location to have no numerical address). I have reached out to the buyers to confirm address and they usually have helped simplify as much as possible, but in most cases, no variation I enter will suffice. I end up hand writing the address on the envelope, and it arrives safely, but I get penalized by eBay as the seller for not uploading tracking (I ship baseball cards usually in standard envelopes, so no tracking if I can't send thru eBay).
This seems like a blind spot for eBay. Not sure the eBay folks in San Jose, California have any idea about this, or worse, don't care. Any suggestions?
