Shipping to a different address
Hello, I recently sold a camera for over $1,200. It appears the buy has paid but the funds are on hold for a month which is fine. I was set to ship the camera out but then the buy contacted me and asked me to send the camera to a different address. I message also had a bunch of issues with grammar. Seems like a scam. How should I proceed? Is this a common scam?

Mentor1 year agoMake sure the message is actually from the buyer and not someone trying to scam you. You must send to the SHIP TO address attached to the payment to keep your seller protection.
Let the buyer know you will need to file a cancellation/refund the buyer, with the reason Problem with buyer's address. Relist the item and send the buyer the new item number. Buyer will need to repurchase, and this time, when s/he sees the Ship To address, click the CHANGE link and make the change there, before paying.
Since the item is more than $750, be sure to use Signature Required when you go to purchase the shipping label.
