Shipping Through eBay - Issues Holding for Pickup
I've shipped a package with FedEx signature confirmation through eBay, and a buyer is unable to accept the package because they're not at their address during the times FedEx tries to deliver.
Reaching out to FedEx, they say the package cannot be held at the facility and picked up by the buyer because the shipper (eBay) requests that these packages only be delivered to the final address. As my account isn't designated as the shipper, I'm unable to change this.
Reaching out to eBay support (and even getting in contact with an eBay Leadership Team member), they say after the 3rd delivery attempt FedEx should contact the buyer and allow them 5 days to receive the package, and that they'd verify this with their FedEx contact, but I haven't heard back.
Is someone at eBay able to reach out to FedEx and request a package be held at a FedEx location for buyer pickup? And if not, is there a solution that might help the buyer retrieve the package instead of it getting sent back to me?

Mentor10 months ago@fizzthebroke I am sorry but it's not possible for the destination to be changed.
What will happen is the package will be returned to you and then the buyer has to make arrangements with you to pay to ship it again. They can choose a different address at that time as the arrangements are made offsite with electronic payment methods.
I would buy the shipping label on Pirateship.com and ship with USPS Priority or Ground Advantage as USPS will hold packages for pickup. Be sure to pay for the extra insurance.
