Shipping taking long and response from seller doesn’t make sense
So I purchased a item on eBay on April 5th. On Tuesday the 9th I reached out to the seller because the item hadn’t been updated as shipped. The seller informed me that they were packing it up to ship on the 9th and that they were out of town which is why it took so long to ship. Later that day a label was printed. Since the label was created on the 9th I expected it to ship by the 10th. When it didn’t update beyond label printed I again reached out and asked when it would be shipping assuming the seller printed a label and hadn’t delivered the package to ups. This time the seller said “yeah ups said they wouldn’t be able to ship it until Thursdayâ€. I’ve never heard this so it seems suspicious. Additionally the seller used a company name for their profile that is well known for these kinds of products. I happened to tell one of the people that work for this company I purchased one of their products from there eBay account. The guy at the company said they don’t sell on ebay. Not really sure what to do. I guess tomorrow I’ll find out if it actually ships. I’m not sure if I should report it to ebay now or wait until tomorrow. Really I just want to make sure my money is refundable if it is a scam and I’m not sure how important timing is as far as reporting it goes. I also don’t want to report it if all is ok and I’m just being paranoid. Please let me know your thoughts.

Mentor2 years agoGo to your Purchase History and locate the purchased item. What is the last estimated delivery date? You have up to 30 days past that date in order to file an Item Not Received case, to get your money back.
If it is past the 30 day limit, you will need to log into Paypal and file an
Item Not Received case there, if that is how you paid, as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase to file, to get your money back.
If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with your credit card issuer.
