Shipping something with just a few stamps - ebay still wants a tracking number for Top Rated Seller?

What do I do when I have a lightweight item that is far less than paying $3+ for a 1 ounce USPS Ground advantage tracking number? I sent the item, and the buyer left positive feedback.

I get a email from ebay saying I lost Top Rated Seller - and the only thing I see is ONE transaction with no tracking uploaded. What do I do in the future with very light products and keep ebay happy?

I don't believe sellers lose their top rated seller status with just one item not being tracked. I believe trs can have up to 3% or 5% of sales without an acceptance scan. There are other metrics as well. Have you looked at your Seller Dashboard recently?
