Shipping several items of ONE (1) sale listing that needs to be shipped in two (2) separate boxes
Dear eBay seller,
How do I get the eBay automated system to show that the several different items that are part of one (1) sale, need to be packaged in two (2) separate boxes? Otherwise, only one box would excessively large.
By the same token, how do I get the system to show the shipping costs for two separate boxes?
Thank you for your time and effort.

Mentor2 years agoClick Purchase shipping label for the order transaction, adjust the weight and package size for the first carton, and complete the purchase. Repeat for the second carton.
Be sure to affix the correct label to each carton.

OP2 years agoDear Inceptions,
Thank you for taking the time to respond. Your message answers how to get the labels after you have sold the items, but not how to set up the details of shipping two cartons in the process of listing the items
My question is:
How do I set up the listing of the ensemble of items I'm selling, which need to be shipped in 2 (two) cartons. Normally when you are setting up a listing, you are presented with a box to enter the dimension and the weight of only one carton. I have not found a way to enter the weight and dimensions of 2, or more cartons.
Could you point out how I can achieve this in my listing? So the buyer knows that the items will ship in two cartons, and the shipping cost for each carton (which are different in size and weight)
Thank you in advance for your time and effort. I truly appreciate it.
Regards,
RT

There is no perfect answer to that question.
You can't list multiple carton weights/dimensions in a listing for one item (set, lot). So you enter the weight and package size that will get you closest to receiving the cost to send both packages individually. (The buyer only needs to know the total shipping cost on the listing. You can mention in the description that the items will ship in two cartons if you want.)
I try at all costs to avoid this situation, but these are the steps I used:
Here's an example from the link I provided above:
You'll see that for a buyer in your zone, the weight to use would be higher than you need for a buyer in the furthest zone. So you might use something in the middle. You'll have to play with the combined costs of your packages to see what would be the best weight to use in your listing.
If your item sells, you'll purchase two labels, based on the weight of each carton.
