Shipping scam?
I just sold a phone. the buyer chose USPS ground advantage shipping. After payment he then specified that he wanted it to be sent via UPS. I said that he had chosen USPS and I had paid for a USPS label. He then asked me if I had purchased insurance. The buyer chose USPS ground advantage shipping. I know I’ll be reimbursed, but I just want to know if this sounds like a scam to anyone else.

There is no way to know. It doesn't necessary sound like a scam. Some buyers think they are only protected if the item is insured (not knowing that insurance protects the seller, not the buyer).
If you have tracking that proves delivery, he won't win an item not received case if he opens one.
