Shipping scam
I got screwed and EBAY ignores my messages. I bought a guitar. The listing stated $20 for shipping. But here’s the scam. The seller used a postal meter and a “if it fits it ships†code. The guitar didn’t fit that box but the post office sent it postage due of $166! What was I to do? I can’t call EBAY. I paid it as I had spent much more for what was in the box. My only recourse is to send it back and lose more money. Thanks for doing nothing EBAY but cover the scammers butt!

Ebay allows buyers to file a Return Request if the package arrived postage due in order to receive a full refund. Since you do not want to take advantage of that option, and keep the item, there is nothing else you can do.
Have you been in touch with the seller?
You can talk to an agent at Ebay for any other ideas. Use the following link to request a call back or to chat with an agent:

OP2 years agoSo let me see if i get this tight. I can send my item back and try to get my money back? Who is going to refund my money? EBAY? Think i trust the seller to do the right thing? Yeah right. So i got stuck paying $166 postage due then EBAY wants me to send my new guitar back to the scammer at my expense? And then expect the nefarious seller to return my hard earned money. The seller doesnt even return my email. EBAY did nothing!!!! That makes them complicent with the sellers postal fraud!
