Shipping refund if buyer misses 3 delivery attempts?
I have a buyer that missed 3 UPS delivery attempts, made no effort to have the package held for pickup or have it redirected. UPS returned it to me safely and now the buyer wants a full refund including the total shipping amount. A refund for the item and taxes is appropriate, but what about shipping? Am I supposed to pay for that?

Mentor2 weeks agoYou are doing great. The buyer can not successfully file a refund claim with Ebay because they didn't accept delivery. They voided their Money Back Guarantee protection. You did exactly what you should have done. Refund the product but not the shipping. I would have done one step further and I would not have refunded whatever the fees were for hanging onto the shipping costs. I would want to and expect to break even on the transaction.
Your buyer will not be successful with Ebay nor will Ebay force you to refund any more money on this transaction. Do however stay polite and professional with your buyer. Just explain that because they did not accept delivery, you still had to pay for shipping therefore, you can't refund that amount to them.
