shipping rates
I just listed an item, and the lowest rate is $57.60 . There was an exact item just sold and the rate was $28.00. Nobody will pay $57.60 for my item. Thew automatic calculators says this item is 20x20x12, 3lbs.

Mentor3 years agoThe shipping calculator does not tell you how large the item is - you need to put the item in the box you will use for shipping, then measure it and weigh it.
20x20x12 is oversized, incurring a $25 surcharge for priority mail. It is also being measured by dimensional weight, which is 29 LB. That is why shipping to me in IL is $72.80. 29 LB from your zip to mine is $47.80 + $25.00 surcharge.
I suspect the item listed with $28 shipping is not being sent priority mail - it is probably parcel select, and it is not in a 20x20x12 box.
