Shipping Question

When I post an it and pick shipping under $20 I charge a flat fee of
$1.88 all good. When the consumer buys it I go to print out the label
And they chose the .78 cent option even though they paid me $1.88
The problem is when the choose the .78 option it has to go through
The sorter if they chose the $1.36 option then it’s non machinable
And it’s fine. What happening is I am getting them back because the
Post office it is no machinable not enough postage. My question is
There a way to make it so when the purchase the item they have to pick
The $1.36 option? Or before i print out the label can I change it?

eBay Standard Envelope is a Machinable product.
It's important that your envelopes are flexible enough to fit around a mug so that they are flexible enough to fit through USPS machinery.
The scanning is done by machines, not a person.
Also, try dropping your envelopes in the 'metered mail' slot at the post office since those items also go through machinery.

You can determine how much postage is on the label by changing the weight from 1 oz to 3oz
Some people have been able to get their post office to attach a non-machinable stamp, I don't know if all will do that.
