Shipping overcharges for Fed-Ex
Summary: A discussion was initiated by ochoco-collectibles regarding overcharges on shipping with Fed-Ex, but there were no further responses or engagement from other participants on this topic.
I presently get 99% of my shipping labels through eBay. With USPS volatility, I have begun to compare different shipper's costs. I am finding that Fed-Ex can be 30% less than Ground Advantage, so I have used it the past few times when several dollars less. The first two times I used Fed-Ex they charged additional fees stating that my weight and/or package size was different. I am **bleep** about the correctness of the sizes I put in. After over 20 years on eBay, I cannot recall an additional fee I have been charged by USPS, which is where most of my shipping is through.
In reviewing both of the times with Fed-Ex the weight given is literally pounds different (one entire package was under 2 pounds..they claim 6+ pounds) with boxes supposedly measuring INCHES more than the box I used.
What recourse is there? I cannot prove any of my measurements & they will never claim that they would need to.
