shipping over chargegings .
i want to know (simply curious) due to hefty shpg. cost very near the initial price of the item on offer ,like for instance if his/her item on ebay is us$100/#, and they (simply or blindly) charge a shipping cost at us$75-85 dollars. Dear mdm/sir, what i want know in this matter is, could both of them tend to benefit in the shpg. scenario,by tagging the shpg over charging cost. thanks

Mentor1 year agoSellers can use calculated shipping to determine shipping costs to the buyer, or sellers can specify a flat rate shipping cost to all buyers regardless of where they live.
Since ebay charges its final value fee based on item price + shipping + sales tax, it does not matter how the seller selects the shipping cost. If you do not agree with the shipping displayed, find another listing.

The shipping charges shown on a listing are based on size & weight of the packaged item plus the location of the buyer's shipping address plus shipping company & method of shipping.

OP1 year agoThanks, *lady* madonna,
At first i was thinking seller just simply blindly stamp a hefy high price to allevate the shipping price without the knowledge of ebay and pocket the extras in shipping chargers which they impose, hence through the kind explanation of lady madonna only then i understood ,how shipping is and how the sometime hefy chargers imposed, all this with the knowledge ebay and every seller and buyers too. And now finally i can cool-down.
