shipping multiple packages for one listing

I've asked this question before and got an answer days after I needed the info. I sell speakers (pairs) that need to be shipped in separate packages (weight and size).

This seems like a simple "code improvement" to the shipping calculator. Why won't ebay implement it?

It has always been this way, I suppose the junior programmers at ebay just can't figure it out. However, there are workarounds for it. The easiest is to set up rate tables with prices for the different zones for those types of listings. This will come the closest to actual calculated shipping.
