Shipping Multiple Items
Summary: pre-lovedselections is new to selling on eBay and encountered an issue with shipping costs when a customer purchased multiple items. The shipping cost was initially calculated for a single item, but sending two required a larger box and increased shipping costs. They are seeking advice on how to handle such situations better in the future.
Hello, Im fairly new selling on Ebay, I do have a question... I have a listing with a quantity available of 6+ items. when I created the listed I picked the shipping cost based on one box, one item. A customer just purchased (2) of those pieces but the shipping cost to them was based on the single item iformation. I had to upgrade to label to a bigger box wich changes my shipping rate becaue now I have to two items intead of one so I have to pay the difference. How can I cover my self in the future on a situation like that????
Thanks...

Mentor1 week agoWhen you have a fixed price item with a multi quantity available, you can post a fixed price for the first item plus an additional cost for each additional item. You can also list as using Calculated shipping with a rule to ADD THE WEIGHTS. That is what I do...add the weights.
