Shipping Methods for Sellers
I wish the message could somehow go out to ALL sellers to state specifically which shipper they are going to use...IE: USPS, UPS or FedEx.
The term "standard shipping" has become an out right night mare for me to the point that I am just about to stop doing online business with ebay.
When they use FedEx under the "standard shipping" statement with out me knowing exactly which shipper they will use, it simply means I will not get my package most of the time.
Many times I will pay more for an item simply because they state out right which shipper they will use as if it is USPS or UPS I know I will get my package.
But with FedEx it seldom ever makes it to the address I specify and when I track the missing package down, the picture shows some front porch in who knows where but all I know is that they consistently do not deliver to the address that I specify.
Then when I try to fill out FedEx's lost package box's with the exact same address that is on the order it just keeps circling back around saying "the data you entered does not match our files"...very frustrating.
And trying to get a REAL human instead of a chatbot is fast becoming a technocratic night mare.
I used to send a statement with every order that used the "standard shipping" term not to use FedEx and if they had to use FedEx I would also include a different mailing address because FedEx would not deliver to my local post office. but even that did not work as it appears that many sellers never read the note you might attach to an order.
This is the first time I have really done anything about my package loss's as so far I just write them off as a loss...but now FedEx has miss-delivered 2 critical packages in a row when the address I specified was stamped and written all over all documents involved in the transaction and I am livid.
Meaning.......from here on out I cannot do any business with any seller that does not specify which shipper they will use.
I don't have the time to send them a note and to wait for a reply to find out which shipper they will use before placing an order.
I am not alone with this problem as I talk to other people in my area that have the same problem.
Thanks for listening.
