shipping locations
My listing says "ship to" and then my own zip code. Is it going to be shown as shippable to as wide an area as possible?

Mentor5 months ago@reign_fire It shows your zip code because you are looking at it. You can change the zip to 90731 for CA or 10012 for NY to see what shipping costs are to those locations. I checked and you do ship there.
Have you verified that the box dimensions and weight can be shipped with USPS ground advantage?
You may wish to compare UPS on Pirateship.com. To research the price just enter a zip code to the state farthest from you. Just don't select UPS ground Saver. Be sure to purchase the extra insurance. Insurance will not pay if you didn't package the item adequately.
Be sure to package it very well so it can handle being tossed around and having other boxes land on it.
I personally would only sell this item as LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.
It's a nice collectible and would be sad to have it destroyed in shipping.

OP5 months agoThanks. I'm not familiar with ebay shipping and I wanted to make it available to a wider market. I live in a small remote town so local pick up is not much of an option for me. I just went with what ebay chose so that I wouldn't be able to mess it up. Years ago I chose a non approved shipping at the buyers request and got scammed out of my item.

Mentor5 months agoNever accept eBay's suggestion on shipping without double checking it yourself. eBay will not be responsible if the algorithm gives you wrong information.
Please tell me the box dimensions and weight and can help you find the best shipping option.

OP5 months agoI haven't boxed it yet, but the item is 3' x 3' x 5". So probably add an inch or two for packaging. Approx 20 lbs.
