Shipping locations.
Hello, im having trouble with sellers advertising that their shipping from the U.S.A. and when tracking is provided, it says its coming from China! Extremely irritating & i end up canceling the order and asking for a refund. This has happened on 4 of my last purchases. I use the filter options provided to select in u.s.a. only and its still happening.
Also ive started getting confirmation that the item is in the states and their contact person is in a customer service company in....China!!! This has turned the process of contacting a seller about their items extremely difficult aswell! The only time they respond is about 15 hours ahead. So for me in Mountain time zone, all their replys come around 2, 3, 4a.m. and it effects if im going to make a "impulse buy"
Is there any way we can clean up these issues. If i filter items to the U.S. ONLY, im wanting to deal with people contacting & shipping from the United States ONLY.
Buying over seas is fine dont get me wrong, but most the time i don't want to wait a month to recive what is purchased, and if there are issues, i know then there will be language barriers that will have to be negotiated since I am not educated in foreign language.
So in closing, is there anything that Ebay can do to improve on these issues. Dealing with it every now and then isnt a issue. But it has honestly become a headache to purchase any items. I just want to locate what i want, and recieved what ive purchased from where the item is located.
Thankyou for reading my cry baby novel and look forward to hearing any response and hopefully a resolution.
Sincerely J

Mentor2 years agoNot all sellers ship from the Item location they specify as they should.
Probably the best way to deal with sellers that misrepresent item location is to avoid them. The "US only" item location filter selects items that are listed as being in the United States; however, as you have seen, not every seller that lists items in the US ships from the US.
Before ordering you should check the estimated delivery dates -- that is a good indication of how far away items actually ship from. Also, going to a seller's profile page or feedback page will tell you where the seller's account was registered. Although some overseas sellers do use US warehouses to ship their items (and some registered US-sellers may employ overseas drop-shippers), if a seller is registered overseas, that raises the likelihood of an item shipping from outside the US, particularly for multiple quantity commodity items. Checking seller feedback will often reveal if there are problems with long shipping times, canceled orders or other supply chain warning signs.
If your seller shows indications of being a drop-shipper that does not have items on hand, you may want to find another seller to do business with.
