Shipping large flat envelopes
I frequently ship large flat envelopes and I don't see that option in eBay so I'm constantly going to the post office. I enter the correct dimensions and weight but the rate is always more on ebay. Am I doing something wrong?

Mentor2 years ago@whiskersnwhimsy You can NOT use a plain large envelope as a shipping method on eBay when buying a label.
You have to buy the postage at the post office as untracked shipping.
I see you have your listings set up as standard first class that means POSTAGE stamp rate.
USPS no longer has a First Class PACKAGE rate.

Mentor2 years ago@whiskersnwhimsy Are you sure you are trying to ship using Large Envelope? NOT large FLAT RATE?
Large Flat Rate envelope is a Priority Shipping method and costs $7.99
Large Envelope is a first class non tracked shipping method that you have to purchase at the post office. This would be the best shipping method for your low cost items. All eBay shipping labels come with tracking so it would be more expensive even to ship this ground advantage instead of buying the postage at the post office.

OP2 years agoThanks, I've also been trying to create labels for my large envelopes from home using the USPS website but large envelope is also not an option. I've been emailing them for help but they aren't helpful so I continue to go to the kiosk at the PO

Mentor2 years ago@whiskersnwhimsy Yes you must buy that kind of postage at the post office OR use postage stamps since you probably are aware of the amount of postage needed that shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
