Shipping label wrong.
I sold an item. eBay said I could buy a discounted shipping label for $5.77. I did. I brought the item to the post office. They said the weight was wrong. I used a very light box (think Welch’s fruit snacks). The post office said the weight was wrong. I’d need to go home and get a new label. I didn’t feel like doing that so I bought a new shipping label for $17.45. She said that eBay has been cheating the post office for years. I don’t know why I couldn’t just pay for the additional postage but she said I couldn’t. I feel like eBay owes me $17.45. Any suggestions?

eBay doesn't owe you anything here. You made an error when you entered your shipping parameters and so the cost wasn't correct. If this happens, you are responsible for covering the cost of your mistake, not eBay.
Very few postal clerks know anything about eBay. Take what they say with a grain of salt. eBay has not been "cheating the post office for years."
