Shipping label issue
The label sent to me (the seller) had incorrect/inadequate dimensions and weight for item. USPS took it but said more charges may be assessed. How does this work? It’s still the buyer’s responsibility, correct?

Mentor3 weeks agoAfter the item sold, you can't ask the buyer for more money.
The agreed upon price, is the agreed upon price including the shipping.
Cancel the purchase if you priced it wrong.

OP3 weeks agoI’ve never had anything to do with shipping calculations. The eBay system does that, as far as I’ve seen, but thank you for answering.

Mentor3 weeks agoThe buyer pays shipping based on the information you entered into the listing. You should never allow eBay to suggest the shipping weight and dimensions since they are based on category averages and you item most likely will not match those specifics. You should enter the items packaged ready to ship weight and dimensions along with calculated shipping on the listing in order to have the buyer to pay the correct amount.

Mentor3 weeks agoThe USPS uses its APV (Automated Package Verification) system along the way. If the weight and dimensions of the package are incorrect, the USPS charges ebay, and ebay in turn charges the seller's account. You should receive a message explaining the charge.
