Never change the address from the one shown on the order (that does not have to be an address registered to the buyer's account, they can input any address at checkout, but you must ship to whatever address is provided to you by eBay and no other address).
If you got a message from a user asking you to change the shipping address for a recent sale, FIRST check that the message actually came from your buyer. If it is from a different user account, report the message and ignore it, and ship to the address on the order.
If it is from your buyer, let them know you can cancel the order and let them repurchase the item with the correct address.
Thank you. I did cancel the shipping label and notified the buyer. They tell me they updated the correct address with eBay and I am waiting for a new shipping label which may come after USPS refunds the money to eBay. I am not sure.
@kimothi1650. You must cancel the sale as problem with buyers address. Refund the buyer. Relist so that they can buy again and make sure that the address is correct at checkout.
Then you select get shipping label again.
You'll be refunded for the canceled label in about 3 weeks
Just to provide some clarification of why you have to cancel: no one, buyer or seller, can change the address on an order after it has been paid. Even if the buyer has updated their address on their account, that order that was already placed will never update. So you have to cancel and let them place a new order with the updated address.
