I just got my first undercharged shipping notification. How do you figure out shipping boxes. I have tiny items that could go in a bag or big items that go in boxes. Almost all are clothes or old costumes. When i get these notices does ebay automatically take the difference from my sale-have no problem with this. I would really like to not have to go and find a box for everything that i am selling and store those boxes until a sale. My sale time is looking to be maybe a 3mo turnaround if not longer. any advice on how you handle this would be appreciated.

Mentor5 months agoYou have to enter an accurate weight and dimensions for the box/package when you create the listing in order for ebay to accurately display the shipping cost from your zip code to the buyer's zip code. Round UP to the nearest ounce/pound/inch. For boxes, measure the outside of the box. I use a lot of bubble mailers, and they are rounded to 10x8x1.
When you receive an underpaid notice, the amount is taken from your account, usually in the next payout.
Before you actually print the label, you can change the weight and dimensions as needed.

OP5 months agoAAAhhhh so when it says Congrats you have a sale.. I can then figure out what i will ship it in and then change that in the listing??? just to be clear . I am so new to this and there is really a lot of info that i never knew you needed to know. Back to answ now.. once i change that does that then get relayed to the buyer some how so they have enough funds to pay for shipping? anddd can i do this after a label has been printed. I ask because i have an order sitting on my table as i type or is it to late for that. and thanks for the bubble i do use those alot also on mid items.
