shipping invoice
is there a way to revise the automated invoice. For example, I agreed to share the shipping costs with the buyer. How can I indicate that on the invoice - doesn't seem like there is a way to edit that feature.

Mentor3 years ago@6699jerry You can send a revised invoice IF the buyer has not paid yet and it's not an eBay International Shipping Program sale.
Select send invoice from the drop down menu next to the sold item and then adjust the shipping on the new invoice.
Your other option if they have already paid is to send a partial refund. Go to the sold item and select send refund from the drop down menu next to the item. Next screen select shipping adjustment and carefully fill in the amount you wish to refund> submit.

OP3 years agothanks for your help. I need to include insurance cost but I don't see that as a possibility. Do you know how I can add that? Thanks

Mentor3 years ago@6699jerry You can not bill the buyer for insurance on an invoice. You have to include the insurance cost in the listing item price OR with calculated shipping on the New Listing Tool in Seller Hub as a handling fee.
Insurance is for the sellers protection. The buyer is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
If you wish to be protected as a seller with insurance for this sale then you will have to absorb the cost since you didn't included it in the listing.
Ground advantage that you show as your shipping method for the last item sold comes with $100 insurance

Mentor3 years agoIf this was NOT a best offer sale with a separate shipping charge and buyer hasn't paid yet, click on Send Invoice and you can adjust the shipping.
If this is a best offer sale or buyer already paid, then use the refund button to do a partial refund.
