Shipping international
I've have previously sold items internationally through Ebay international. Now I have a potential buyer who reached out from Japan saying my item wasn't available to them. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance for any advice.

When an overseas Buyer sees that message, it usually means that item cannot be shipped there via the eBay International Shipping Program (eIS).
If you go to that listing and look at the long list of countries you ship to, if Japan is not on that list, the item itself is blocked by eIS.
