Shipping in first class letter envelope
I haven't sold on eBay in a while. I listed something that I can ship via USPS for $1.50 if I just go to the local PO (ignoring eBay's shipping options). I set my item's shipping price at $2.
However, upon making the sale, eBay only gives me an option to ship ground advantage at $4.19. How can I ship the cheaper way, document that the item was sent, and still get paid? (I chose the 'set your own shipping cost option' and did not choose ground select when I listed the item).
I was trying to save the buyer money, but if I print eBay's shipping label, I'll lose $2.19 because the buyer is only paying $2.

Mentor1 year agoUnless you item qualifies to use the ebay Standard Envelope, if you want to ship in an envelope with a stamp on it, you will have no tracking and will have to wait the full hold time to get paid, also your ship rating will suffer and you will have no defense to a Item Not Received dispute.
