shipping from US to UK
I just checked on a listing and the cost to ship to the UK showed up to be $200. That can't be right for a $700 item plus about $20 tariff.

It may be when you checked the shipping cost by clicking on the See details that when you entered your Country Region the service used changed from the one shown for domestic carriers, on the Shipping: cost / carrier line.
If the item is a large one many services have a Dimensional weight cost, that is much higher than the cost for smaller packages under 1 cubic foot. If the carrier the seller uses partners with Royal Mail they may have a Dimensional weight shipping surcharge as well. If the item cost more than $750 USD, the seller would be required to send it with Signature required which also may involve a surcharge.
