Shipping Fees Too High
Shipping Fees came back over double the weight of the actual box that UPS weighed. My receipt said 5lbs but they are saying it weighed at 13.9lbs and have charged me the difference. How do I dispute this and get the refund to my account? I have the receipt showing it was 5lbs.

Mentor1 month ago · Edited@music_hlc That sounds like a dimensional weight surcharge, shipping prices are charged based on the package size not just weight and distance to the buyer. You can try disputing the charged with UPS.
Only eBay customer service can file the dispute since they are the UPS customer. I recommend contacting CS on social media to ask them to do this. Keep in mind that UPS does sometimes add incorrect surcharges but there are CORRECT surcharges that you can read about on the UPS website.
Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from Pirateship. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.
Social media is the best way to contact customer service for this issue.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service. ( I feel that it's ok to use this option since it does affect your bottom line.)
Click this link> https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold?id=4814
Then Type PAYOUT In the chat bot box on the lower right.
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

Mentor1 month ago@music_hlc Shipping is probably the part of selling that has the highest learning curve. Just be sure ALWAYS enter the exact dimensions and weight on the listing and select buyer pays calculated. Round up to the next full inch and full ounce.
If at all possible always ship USPS or if not use UPS on pirateship dot com.
