The area of shipping for new Sellers is one we see a lot of mistakes in as well as lack of understanding on how the cash flows through the process. I think a picture is in order to help you under stand.
On each transaction you can click to see the details, below is a screen shot from one of mine. I outlined the Buyer's payment section in red and my section in green. Like you I have my listings set up so Buyers pay me to ship to them. The red arrow shows what the Buyer paid me to ship the item to them. The green arrow shows what I paid for the actual shipping label through eBay, Sellers get a discount when they purchase the labels through eBay. So, in basic terms Buyers pay Sellers to ship, there is no double dipping.

OP8 months agoThank you. Did you pay for your shipping label with a credit card? Mine looks similar. but now I have negative available funds.
Sorry I can't figure how to attach a photo.

My labels are paid from Available funds and yes, sometimes there is a negative value until funds that are being Processed move to Available. I have a credit card as a backup payment method, that is only used for refunds or other charges if I do not have enough Available funds to cover it. I am on Weekly Payouts so most costs come out of Available funds. If you are on Daily payouts then you may have to use your back up payment method more often depending on what happens and when.

The buyer pays eBay; eBay pays the seller.
The seller has to pay for shipping because the seller is the one with a package that needs to be shipped.
