Shipping fee was added to the purchase price in determining sales tax. Is this correct ?
I bought an item and the shipping fee was added to the sale price of the item in determining the sales tax. Is that correct ?

Most states require sales tax to be paid on shipping. eBay (as do other online marketplaces) follows the sales tax laws for each state regarding whether to collect tax for the state on the total sale or just the item price.
